What is a lash lift & tint?

A lash lift and tint is a two-step cosmetic treatment for enhancing the appearance of your natural eyelashes.

1. Lash Lift: A lash lift is a procedure that curls and lifts your natural lashes from the root, giving them a more lifted and curled appearance. It creates the illusion of longer and more voluminous lashes without the need for lash extensions. During the treatment, your lashes are carefully lifted and secured in place using a silicone or similar tool. A lifting solution is then applied to the lashes, which helps set them in the desired shape. The result is curled lashes that can last for several weeks.

2. Lash Tint: A lash tint is the second step of the treatment and involves coloring the lashes to enhance their darkness and intensity. A special dye is carefully applied to the lashes, giving them a darker and more defined look. The tint can help make the lashes appear thicker and more noticeable, even without mascara. The tint typically lasts for a few weeks before gradually fading.

A lash lift and tint can be a great option for those who want to enhance their natural lashes without the need for extensions or daily mascara application. It provides a low-maintenance solution for achieving curled, lifted, and darker lashes.

How long does a lash lift last?

The duration of a lash lift can vary depending on individual factors such as the natural growth cycle of your lashes and how well you maintain them. On average, a lash lift can last between 6 to 8 weeks. However, it's important to keep in mind that everyone's lashes grow at different rates, so you may notice some slight changes in the appearance of your lashes as they naturally shed and new ones grow in.

What are the pre & post care steps for a lash lift?

Pre-care steps for a lash lift:

1. Avoid using waterproof mascara or any oil-based products on your lashes for at least 48 hours before the treatment. These products can leave a residue that may interfere with the lifting solution.

2. Remove any eye makeup, including mascara and eyeliner, before your appointment. Clean lashes provide a better surface for the lifting solution to adhere to.

3. Do not curl your lashes before the treatment. The lash lift will give them a natural curl, and curling them beforehand may interfere with the process.

4. Avoid using any eye creams or serums on the day of your appointment, as they can make the lashes oily and affect the lift.

Post-care steps for a lash lift:

1. Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 to 48 hours after the treatment. Water can weaken the lifting solution and disrupt the curl.

2. Avoid rubbing or pulling on your lashes, as this can cause them to lose their lift or even break.

3. Avoid using waterproof mascara for the duration of the lash lift, as it can be difficult to remove and may weaken the lift.

4. Be gentle when cleansing your face and avoid using oil-based cleansers or makeup removers directly on your lashes.

5. If you want to enhance the appearance of your lashes, use a non-waterproof mascara or a lash conditioner to nourish and hydrate them.

6. Avoid excessive heat exposure, such as from curling irons or saunas, as it can affect the lift.
